Help Hurt Hopp

a three player platformer / level editor / mess

HOW TO PLAY

take note of what colour you are
your role changes often but your colour is always the same

HOPP, HELP and HURT each have a different goal

HOPP wants to get to the gem on the far right side, without getting killed
HOPP can run, jump and even wall jump, but has to avoid touching the deadly spikes,
acidic drips, energy bullets or ghost skulls, or getting squashed

HELP wants to alter the level to help HOPP get to the gem

HURT wants to alter the level to kill HOPP before they get to the gem
after placing enough pieces, HURT can place a ghost skull that will chase HOPP indefinitely

HELP and HURT have to be a minimum distance away from HOPP in order to place pieces
if they're too close, the cursor turns into a big X

HELP and HURT can't place pieces overlapping recently placed pieces
recently placed pieces have a coloured, dotted outline

CONTROLS

you need either three gamepads, or two gamepads and a keyboard

move with LEFT STICK (or ARROW KEYS or WASD on keyboard)
jump with A (or Z or SPACE on keyboard)
place pieces with A (or Z or SPACE on keyboard)

toggle full screen with ALT + ENTER

FILES

run HELP HURT HOPP.exe to get straight into the game

run HOPP HOPP HOPP (practice levels).exe if you (and your friends) want a chance to get used to the controls first
there are three levels (basic movement, moving platforms, and dangers), you can press ENTER to swap between them
